PT NISSIN FOODS INDONESIA, was established on 28 February 1992 at Jl. Jababeka Raya Blok N-1, Jababeka Industrial Estate Cikarang. NISSIN FOODS is an instant noodle product that is hygienically processed with good quality using advanced technology from Japan.
Starting the Journey with Determination and Innovation
NISSIN FOODS was first founded by Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant noodles and the World’s first cup-type instant noodles. It began when Japan faced a terrible food shortage after the end of World War II. Ando looked around the streets of Japan filled with starving people, and countless people died from malnutrition. Ando, who witnessed this horrific scene, became aware of the importance of food. He realised that without food, clothing and shelter, humans are helpless and art and culture will never be created.
From the beginning of his invention, his principles were, “Peace will come to the world when there is enough food”, “Create foods to serve society”, “Eat wisely for beauty and health”, and “Food related jobs are sacred profession”. These are the basic principles of business activities and product development of NISSIN FOODS.
Momofuku Ando
The Invention of the World’s First Instant Noodle
After tireless research and experimentation. On 25 August 1958, Momofuku Ando finally invented Chicken Ramen, the world’s first instant noodle. It was even called the “Magic Noodle”. The next big invention was the CUP NOODLES in 1971.
The success of instant noodles and instant cup noodles quickly spread around the world. Then Ando and his company NISSIN FOODS began to expand their business to the United States, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Germany, Thailand, and finally Indonesia. In these countries, NISSIN FOODS not only exported the noodles sold in Japan, but also developed products that suited the tastes of the country of origin.
